McAvoy and Fassy are back, as are cuties Nicholas Hoult and Lucas Till (as Beast and Havok) – and this time we’ve also got American Horror Story sexbomb Evan Peters as Quicksilver, and Peter Dinklage as Bolivar Trask. Pardon me while I fangirl out for a minute. OMG DYING! From IMDB: “The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The characters from the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.”

I just died. LITerally died. In a CosmicBookNews article detailing Ben Affleck’s unprecedented 13-”appearance” deal as Batman (think Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury popping up in every Marvel movie in the run-up to Avengers) and Bryan Cranston’s six-appearance deal as Lex Luthor (I’m not on board with ANY OF THIS, mind you), there was THIS throwaway little nugget: “DC also does have major interest in bringing Matt Damon into the Justice League now that Affleck is on board, and it is rumored that he is being considered for Aquaman or Martian Manhunter.” SQUEEEEEEEEEEE. My two greatest loves! Together at last! Matt Damon as Aquaman! Can you IMAGINE?! The glory! The magnificence! The MAJESTY that IS Arthur Curry, King of Atlantis! It’s too much to even dream of! And even if he’s only cast as the Martian Manhunter – not one of my favorite characters mind you – I wouldn’t be TOO upset because after all, the Manhunter IS shirtless and ripped and clad only in a pair of Speedos and a cape. And a green Matt Damon might be sort of nice. So let’s MAKE THIS HAPPEN, PEOPLE. As I see it, it’s the ONLY upshot of the otherwise dodgy casting of Affleck. (Photo: Pacific Coast News)
OK. Deep breath. Here we go: Tina, Bob, and Louise; The Human Torch, Red Skull, Captain America, and the Sub Mariner; an alien woman I don’t recognize; Princess Bubblegum and the Ice King; Russell and Kevin; zombie Barbies; a life-size Henry Cavill of your very own, to have and to hold, to hug and to squeeze; OMG MIND FREEZE. MY BRAIN JUST STARTED BUFFERING. I HAVE NO IDEA. PRINCESS AMETHYST? WITH RED ARROW? HELP, HELP, ANYONE?; Captain Marvel and Supes; Wonder Woman with A SUPERCOOL LIGHT-UP LASSO!; a giant Joker Head; and, um, a gender-swapped Ice King? (Photos: Michael Roha)
OK, obviously from top, left, we have Powdered Toast Man, Punisher, Kick-Ass, Firestorm, Wolverine, Ryu and Akuma from Street Fighter, and I’m pretty sure that guy with the massive crotch bulge in the bottom corner here is some sort of gender-swapped Emma Frost. But who is the green guy next to him? It’s not a Lantern. It’s not a Power Ranger. Ten bonus points if you can tell me who he is. (Photos: Michael Roha)
Bob’s Burgers, Fox’s Sunday-night hit on its Animation Domination block, will soon be showing up on newsstands as a comic book. Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products and Dynamite Entertainment have partnered to develop a book based on the animated show. “We could not be more pleased to add Bob’s Burgers to the our line of comics,” Dynamite’s CEO Nick Barrucci announced today. “It’s stylish and hilarious, a feel-good concept that can be both heartwarming and mischievous at the same time… [It's] a fantastic product that will appeal to readers of all ages.” But wait – there’s more. Bob’s Burgers will also be a Comic-Con panel on July 19 with creator and executive producer Loren Bouchard, executive producer Jim Dauterive, and members of the cast. Now all that’s left is to create a flesh-and-blood Bob’s Burgers chain of restaurants. Stay hungry, comic fans, your Burgers will be ready soon. (via deadline)
