There were a million paparazzi shots of Nick eating at a sidewalk cafe in New York yesterday, and choosing which picture to run the was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, I’ll have you know. There was this one where his mouth was closed and he was chewing, and it was ADORABLE. Then there was this other one where his mouth was OPEN and he was sort of smirking and he looked like a Colobus monkey. Then he closed his eyes for a second like he was having a carbogasm (which is a REAL THING! I know!), and that was a REALLY GOOD PICTURE. But then, Nick looks good in every picture of him ever taken, so I just went with this one. (Photo: Pacific Coast News)

About 25 minutes ago I received the following text from WOW staffers lunching at Jersey Mike’s subway shop on the corner of Sunset and Vine: ” Oh gurrrrl you should have come with. Nick and Joe Jonas were in line in front of us.” CAN YOU FREAKING IMAGINE? I’m donkey punching myself as we speak. “GET A PIC!” I texted back. So this was the stealthy pic they brought back, as they were all too shy to actually ask them to pose. From left to right, that’s Joe’s head, Nick’s head, and some nameless friend’s torso. And here’s what went down: Nick had a foot-long (HA!) on wheat with ham, salami and an unknown third meat that Mary Ann suspects was roast beef. There was a bit of a kerfuffle when Joe ordered a medium sandwich on wheat and they gave it to him on white. “He was very nice about it,” says Mary Ann. When nobody knew what to do about the already-made sandwich, Joe said AND I QUOTE: “Give me the top and leave the white bottom.” LET THAT SINK IN. Shall I repeat it? Joe said: “GIVE ME THE TOP AND LEAVE THE WHITE BOTTOM.” Aren’t you glad you stuck with the story this long? Maybe it isn’t funny unless you hear me doing my Joe Jonas impression. It sounds a lot like my Mae West impression. “Ohhhh! Ohhhh! Just give me the top and leave me the white bottom.” The other interesting takeaway from their lunch was that while they were standing in line, Mary Ann said to the other WOW staffers “I could just grab both their asses at the same time right now!” That’s how close they were. And when she said that Joe jerked his head slightly, meaning that he TOTALLY HEARD HER. HA!

There’s a veritable flip book of pics over at Caught On Set of Gaga at the hot dog stand, losing her balance at the hot dog stand, falling on her ass while still holding the hot dog at the hot dog stand, then triumphantly standing again and eating said hot dog.
