How in the seven kingdoms did I miss the Knight of the Flowers, Ser Loras Tyrell aka Finn Jones, in an orange Speedo on the cover of Gay Times a few months ago? You would think I would have blogged the crap out of that. After last night’s GoT spisode, I was looking for gifs of Ser Loras and his new butt-buddy to post when I came across this gorgeousness. Here’s what he has to say about portraying Westeros’ most visable queen: “In terms of the gay community, I’ve got a very strong reaction that people are happy with it, happy that gay characters are being portrayed but not in a sensationalized or stereotyped way, and they’re being put into a world that is a very masculine, hard world. I hope that they think that we’re not stereotyping them.”

Tom gets a new diving partner in this 2010 episode of Sport’s Relief. (SPOILER ALERT: It doesn’t go well.)
I imagine the next few weeks are going to be dominated by pictures of British diver Tom Daley and American swimmer Ryan Lochte, so let’s just lean back, relax, light a scented candle, and accept these boys into our lives. Here’s Tom at diving practice at the Aquatics Centre in the Olympic Park yesterday. (Photos: Pacific Coast News)
Rectifying the problem with that Men’s Health cover from last week, when he was photographed in JEANS and a JACKET, of all things. The nerve.
Yesterday I noted that we were rapidly approaching the Tom Daley vs Ryan Lochte 2012 Summer Olympics swim hunk showdown, which will pit America against Britain in a bitter clash of the Speedo’d hotties. Here is some remedial Ryan Lochte viewing to help you make up your mind which side you’re on.
Olympic diver Tom Daly, who we feel obligated to point out just turned 18, arrived at the book signing of his autobiography Tom Daly: My Story wearing a lovely pair of navy Speedos, which was nice as we might not have recognized him fully dressed. He then posed in front of pictures of himself (wearing said Speedos), and said some adorable things to the crowd that nobody heard because they were all too busy staring at his business. Love him!
