Gidget Gein's Ring My Bell Redux

Some time ago, the musician born Bradley Anne Stewart who became Gidget Gein when he cofounded the Marilyn Manson band, stopped by the World of Wonder offices to sit in the Ring My Bell chamber and answer questions phoned in live from the more wondrous world outside. On the sad occasion of his very recent passing, we dug up that session for you. (RMB)

OMG, Shane Klingensmith!

Remember 13-year-old Shane Klingensmith from World of Wonder's Showbiz Moms and Dads series on Bravo? (Ahh, memories.) Not so little now, Shane is a strapping high-school senior old enough to make babies with a vice-presidential candidate's daughter. But instead, he'd like you to vote for him in the Glamor Shots 2008 High School Senior Photo Contest (HS Senior Males division). He's attending Stetson on a music scholarship (hence the Stetson), says his mom Debbie. We had a look at the other contestants in his division and, frankly, it's no contest. But, gee, they grow up so fast, don't they?

Dial M for Madonna Marathon Sale-A-Thon

In hour 4 of the "Dial M for Madonna" marathon sale-a-thon, James hawks a $300 painting and throws in club-kid cards and Steven Corfe's used underwear, then has a Super Glue accident. The Benson Initiative

Doug Benson showed up not only on the airplane on last night's Lost, but also, some time ago, in the hatchlike environment of WOW's Ring My Bell chamber, where he had to answer questions from strangers using the numbers 3236036312. Eerie.

This afternoon's guest on Ring My Bell is Christian LaPanto, a featured artist from the Warhol: Dead at 21 show who didn't get a chance to partake in the 12 hour Warhol Ring My Bell marathon last week. LaPanto will be taking calls and trying to sell his Warhol/Basquiat collage, created from an original phtoograph he took of the two artists when he lived in New York in the 80s.
