Synopsis

Do you remember darts? In the 1970s, it was this massive game. Like millions of people, I grew up watching John Lowe and Jockey Wilson and Eric Bristow sinking pints and treble 20s. You never saw people like this on TV. It seemed exotic, exciting.The players with their chunky jewellery and their mad names, their wives holding their heads in their hands as a dart went AWOL. It was real, it was raw. It was working class, and darts, like the working class, looked set to take over the world. Suddenly, it went off our screens I wanted to find out why darts disappeard and what happened to these big fat men who rocked our world.
