Million Dollar Listing is a show about the high-stakes, cut-throat world of Real Estate and closing the deal...but it's the personal dramas, the insanity of it's quirky cast and the insider tips aspiring homeowners and home buyers will learn that will keep viewers glued to the television each and every week.
The Format
The episodes are hour-long, self-contained stories that resolve every week with the sale of a single home. We'll see the intense work an agent puts into moving the hot listing of the week, along with the mental, physical and comical juggling acts required to keep their personal lives afloat. The drama heats up as homeowners and potential buyers lose their minds and possibly their shirts as they handle the pressure of one of the largest and most emotional transactions of their lives. It's real estate at the speed of television.
Overview
Million Dollar Listing is a weekly, observational series that follows the realtors of a big money, high-stakes real estate agency in Los Angeles. Run by Dia and Ray Schuldenfrei, their firm houses over thirty realtors, but we'll follow only the savviest, craziest realtors.
Each week, we'll track our colorful regular characters through the stress, confrontation and insanity of the boom or bust world of big money real estate...
Every episode will start off following several agents as they try to get a deal going. As the episode progresses, the story of one agent gains prominence and we follow that agent and the buyer and/or seller that they're worth working with. We go behind the scenes to learn everything about the different personalities, problems and issues that our featured realtor has to navigate, solve and ultimately...endure. All in the name of making the deal happen.
From open houses to final offers, our agents take a real beating as they do all they can to make the deals happen, while dealing with the outrageous requests of emotional clients. Because the better the offer, the more money they make.
And even though their personal lives may suffer as they hold hands, grease palms and do whatever that can to make the sale happen, our agents know what's really important...selling the hot property.

As the Dow continues to plummet Bravo's
ratings keep going higher. Last month they claimed their biggest ratings ever according to a fascinating article in the Kansas City Star.
Recently Bravo's affluential programming has been under attack for
being out of step with the times and as peddlers of sub-prime pornography. But Affluencer-In-Chief Lauren Zalazanick argues that Bravo was
one of the first networks to respond to the recession before there even
officially was one.
“We were shooting the first season of a show called ‘Million
Dollar Listing,’” she recalled. “We wanted to have both houses close at the end
of the show. We wanted resolution.”
Bravo had a successful show about reselling high-end homes, “Flipping
Out,” and this seemed like a natural extension.
Just one problem: “The houses were not closing,” Zalaznick said.
“It took forever to shoot.”
Eventually, the format of “Million Dollar Listing” changed with
the times: Instead of both deals closing every episode, usually only one would.

World of Wonder's Million Dollar Listing is one of the four hit docuseries being renewed for another season on Bravo, the others being Flipping Out, The Rachel Zoe Project, and Tabatha's Salon Takeover. "Our audience has grown an affection for each of these larger-than-life, talented characters," says Bravo's Frances Berwick, "and wants to see more of their lives and careers." And Chad Rogers' evolving hairstyle. Million Dollar Listing's third season will begin airing in the summer of '09. ( The Futon Critic)

Tuesday night was good news for Oxygen, Bravo, and World of Wonder. Tori Spelling giving birth to little Stella gave birth to Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood being the most-watched, highest-rated show ever on Oxygen, with all kinds of demographical record-breakers for the network. Then along came the second-season premiere of Bravo's Million Dollar Listing, which scored a series high across all key demos, with 510,000 adults 18-49 and 753,000 total viewers tuning in to see Los Angeles' hottest brokers – for an hourlong show at 11PM, no less! So, yes, it's kudos all round here at WOW.
