It’s that time of year again when one season of RuPaul’s Drag Race falls away just in time for the walls to come back out of storage, caked with year-old glitter and mascara to be sandblasted away, and a new set of gorgeous queens step into our candy-colored world with little more than a wig and a dream.

Over one million people tuned in Monday night to see Sharon Needles crowned America’s Next Superstar and become a hero to freaks, weirdos, housewives, and gay teens everywhere.

This past glorious roller coaster of a season wouldn’t have been possible without the talented hard-working queens who put themselves in our care and turned it out week after week, or without the hard-working crew who poured their own charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent into the show for the last year and are about to embark on another.
