You guys are bitches.  I think she brought it.  Sure, she’s slipping into Cher territory and will soon be merely strutting the stage rather than cheerleading with assisted cartwheels.  But not yet, dammit, not yet.  Loved it the Liz Taylor opening — I wonder if it was inspired by her rumored purchase of some jewelry . . .

While some of us fear assisted living, others fear assisted performing.

Joel, I think NOT YET should be the name of her tour. I totally agree. We all know she is (probably???) not going to be doing cartwheels on tour in her 60s, but anyone who’s being impartial can not claim she’s at the point of no return yet. Let the Madonna lovers have our fun—we are going to savor every bit until it’s gone. And I agree, she is heading into Vegas but she’s going to do it with a vengeance.

I thought it was fantastic and I’m not without criticism for Madonna.  Her entrance was spectacular.  If you’ve seen half-time shows for the last several years (barring Prince) it’s hard to imagine finding any of those more dynamic.  It’s an incredibly tough gig that so many of the critics don’t understand just what goes into pulling that off in those conditions.  Bitch made me proud.

I thought she did a good job, looked like she was having fun and performed the heck out of her set.  I’m not without my criticisms of her either, and I agree she is DESPERATELY grasping for the younger demographic (which by the way, from a fan who has grown up with her, aren’t we good enough?), but I don’t get the people saying she looked like she was in slow-mo or being lazy up there.  I don’t see Rihanna or Katy Perry doing that much activity when they’re up on stage.  Maybe Beyonce or Gaga might surpass this kind of aerobic spectacle, but she looked like she was working her ass off up there.

She was great. Let’s not forget she was performing with a pulled hamstring and in crazy heeled boots, to boot!

    • Katie

      It showed.

      • PHIL

God forbid. Let’s all trash her!

The talk show today all had to add a “for her age” comment, you know that had to dampen her joy.

I thought about what I thought about it then I realized, WHO CARES?! She was stiff, boring and if I am really honest, she bores me to no end these days. That being said, love her music, as Chris Rock said, the music you were listening to when you started fucking will always be in your heart! I fucked the first time to LIKE A VIRGIN! Seriously!

Loved her entrance.  Hate her new song.  Hate all of her co-pop star tag alongs.  Want the silver combat boots her dancer is wearing in the second gif.  That’s all.

I was glad when it was all over. I was worried she was going to break a hip.

  • Kyle

She was/is better than any other pop tart half her age. Still the damn Queen of Pop after all these years. Welcome back, Madonna :) on to the next era of MDNA!!!

  • http://cuddleskovinsky.wordpress.com/ Robert

GENIUS! I thought it was genius. Fuck this ‘good for her age’ bullshit. Good for anyone’s age. She pulled it off. As RuPaul said, she had to lip-sync for her life. SHANTAY YOU STAY!

I actually enjoyed it more watching it the 2nd time, after all expectations were gone.

Like Kyiie didn’t rip off Madonna for the first 15 years of her career.

A twelve-year-old tween can write a better song. This is not worth 300 a ticket.

then don’t buy one, charlotte. quit your bitching.

with an army of dancers and effects and dubious claim of a “live” performance anyone would come off looking good … Susan Boyle just needs her voice, Madonna needs a circus
