Possible Julius Caesar Spinoff from Spartacus Planned

x4m1flfoOjtumblr_mefdmxzmxK1r140cso2_r1_500Even though Sparticus announced it will end its series run after the final 10-episode season Spartacus: War of the Damned, new reports suggest that Starz may be developing a spin-off of the blood-soaked series, to center on Todd Lasance’s upcoming portrayal of Julius Caesar. From Screencrush: “Lasance’s Caesar will be introduced in the coming season as a subordinate to primary villain Marcus Crassus (Simon Merrells), though historically speaking there was no evidence Caesar had any involvement in the Servile Wars that spotlighted Spartacus’ rebellion.” And even though it seems a bit premature to develop a series around a character that hasn’t yet been introduced and may or may not catch on with the audience, THIS is what their Julius Caesar looks like, so it’s pretty obvious that at least I’LL be watching. (Not sure about the Keith Urban hairdo and denim tunic though.)
