Is it already that time of year? Has the countdown already begun for the new season of Game of Thrones? I’m still recuperating from LAST season. But OK, if you insist: 115 MORE DAYS, BITCHES! And I see little news items are slowly trickling out to pique our interest. Yesterday, for instance, HuffPo announced that vaguely attractive Russian actor Yuri Kolokolnikov has been cast as Styr, the leader of the Thenn, a tribe that lives beyond the Wall, and is a possible love interest for Jon Snow. *Pause* OMG, CAN YOU IMAGINE? I just made that up to see if you were paying attention. But who knows? Anything can happen… BEYOND THE WALL. Also: Spanish actor Pedro Pascal has been cast as Prince Oberyn Martell, who is known as “The Red Viper” to fans. He plays a Prince who is “charming, yet believably dangerous; intensely likable, yet driven by hate,” according to showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss. Except, um, doesn’t that describe EVERYONE ON THE SHOW?
