The White Collar hunk came out during Saturday’s Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards, where he received the New Generation Arts and Activism Award for his work in the fight against HIV/AIDS. During his speech, he told the crowd: “I’d really especially like to thank my beautiful family: Simon, Kit, Walker, Henry. Thank you for teaching me what unconditional love is. You will always be my proudest accomplishment.” Simon being his husband Simon Halls, of course, the powerful Hollywood publicist who many credit Matt’s success to. And JUST LIKE THAT, Matt Bomer becomes blog-worthy. I no longer have to feel conflicted about writing about him. Until today, I always felt like, “Yeah, he’s hot, but yuck. Just come out already. It’s 2012. And you’re 35 years old. Stop with the self-loathing or PROTECTING YOUR PRECIOUS CAREER.” So, Matt Bomer WELCOME TO THE WOW REPORT and welcome to the rest of your life. You have have my respect and my support. Watch his speech here.
