Oh yes honey! The Rock and his production company Seven Bucks Productions (which he co-founded with Dany Garcia) have a brand new docusoap coming to Fuse! The series will focus upon the competitive world of Drum Corps International. The Rock broke the news on Instagram last night, captioning to his nearly 35 million followers: “I had no idea how incredibly complex and inspiring the Drum Corp culture is until we produced the series. Can’t wait for you to see it.” I can’t wait either!
Set in the competitive world of Drum Corps International, Hard Corps (working title) follows two all-star teams, one in Pennsylvania and one in Northern California, who for the last 20 years, have been battling it out for the championship. Production began last month at locations throughout the U.S. The series will culminate at the world championships in Indianapolis, IN, in August. Hiram Garcia is executive producer for Seven Bucks along with Rasha Drachkovitch for 44 Blue.
“The energy and competitive edge of Drum Corps is the perfect backdrop to celebrate music and performance with our rapidly expanding audience of culturally diverse New Young Americans,” said Fuse Media President Bill Hilary. “’Band on the run’ will have a whole new meaning once ‘Hard Corps’ hits our air. We look forward to working with Seven Bucks Productions and 44 Blue Productions on this series.”
