Oh, who cares if it’s true. The idea of JGL and Michael Pitt together is such a lovely visual, I’m just going to believe it happened and that’s that. It all started back in March when Lainey Gossip had the following blind item: “Both are acclaimed actors. One’s an actor you find super cute. He’s popular and adorable, like dimples and old fashioned dresses. The other’s an actor I find super gross. And dramatic. And full of his own sh-t. He fronts like he’s dark. He’s difficult. The work is often beneath him. The work is often taken away from him because the attitude that it is beneath him is so often intolerable. The two had a torrid affair. Which is nothing unusual, of course not. Except that dimples broke up with drama and drama practically had a psychotic break. There was a month-long spiral. A couple of times he came close to really hurting himself. He also threatened to expose them both, though no one is taking that seriously. As a result, his heartbreaker is trying, ignorantly, to go back to the other side of his bisexuality.” Then, about two weeks ago, Lainey oh-so-slyly snuck this tidbit into a post about a Looper screening: “I saw JGL at Soho House, where at one point, briefly, ahem, he was talking to Michael Pitt. Pitt seemed to be more engaged in their conversation. To the casual observer, JGL was the one who exited that discussion as soon as he could.” And all it took was that one little “ahem” for readers to put two and two together and realize that OMG, JGL AND MICHAEL PITT WERE ONCE LOVERS! I love it! I mean: I’ve never particularly gotten any gay vibes off JGL, but then again, you never hear about him with any ladies either, do you? And who the hell knows WHAT goes on in Michael Pitt’s bedroom. I imagine all sorts of everything. So this all seems perfectly plausible to me. What do YOU think?
