Back from the Dead: All My Children and One Life to Live to Premiere April 29

Save the date! Set your calendars! The online resurrection of the venerable soaps All My Children and One Life to Love is totally actually really happening thanks to the tireless efforts of Prospect Park’s The Online Network (TOLN)! They’re debuting on Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes next week! All your favorites: Erica! Dorian! Vickie! Palmer! Phoebe! Myrtle! (No wait, those last three are dead) (OR ARE THEY?). It certainly will be interesting to see if soaps survive in this medium. I have a nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach that if the numbers are boffo, the networks might just move their existing soaps online as a cost-saving measure. PLEASE DON’T DO THAT, NETWORKS. But in the meantime, yay for AMC and OLTL! Now let’s see about bringing back Passions, Edge of Night, The Secret Storm, and Young Doctor Malone! (via CBS News)
