The Neverending Tori
Renewing the series Tori & Dean: Inn Love (the show will be called Tori & Dean: Still Inn Love on its third season) was Oxygen's first programming move since being acquired by NBC Universal. “Over the last year, Tori and Dean have become one of America’s favorite families and one of Oxygen’s breakout series,” said Oxygen Media's president, Lauren Zalaznick. “They’re a modern-day Lucy and Ricky. They’ve got a great sense of humor about themselves, trying to juggle the demands of parenthood, marriage, their families, and their work lives.” The latest series, in which Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott, and baby Liam move out of their Fallbrook B&B and head to Los Angeles, will begin airing this summer. The Neverending Tori
After co-hosting The View again today, Tori Spelling will be heading down to Cipriani's on Wall Street to co-host, with Tim Gunn, the party for Out magazine's Out 100 list. If we had to put money on it, we'd bet she'll be wearing a short strapless purple number from French Connection.

Don't Mansion It
Tori Spelling sent us this image of the B&B she operates with hubby Dean in evacuated firetrap Temecula, with the caption "Gotta love E! superimposing the flames!!!!" See the Chateau La Rue for the last time this season tonight at 10PM on Oxygen.
Tori & Dean Season Finale
Enjoy this clip from tonight's season finale of Tori & Dean: Inn Love, airing on Oxygen at 10PM. In the episode, called "Spanks for the Memories," Tori finally says goodbye to her baby weight. But now that Fallbrook is currently in danger of turning into ashes, the way she says goodbye is lent a certain startling irony. But how could anyone have known?
Tori & Dean: Inn Luck
A thousand-acre wildfire, just one of about a half-dozen fires raging across San Diego County, blew through Fallbrook yesterday, destroying more than 100 homes and forcing residents to evacuate. So far, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's love nest, the Chateau La Rue bed-and-breakfast, is still standing. Spelling and McDermott were in LA yesterday at ABC's Dancing With the Stars, supporting Spelling's former 90210 castmate Jennie Garth. "We got a call that our Temecula B&B was being evacuated," Spelling said. "We had a lot on our minds tonight. We have friends who are watching it." "We don't know the extent of it," said McDermott. "There were guests on their way there, but they were notified and sent back." Tonight on Oxygen the second-season finale of the couple's reality show, Tori & Dean: Inn Love, airs at 10PM. (People)

Inn-ferno?
In advance of the season finale tomorrow night of Tori & Dean: Inn Love, comes word that residents of the Fallbrook community, where the Chateau La Rue is pleasantly nestled, are being evacuated because California's out-of-control fires are an immediate threat to the area. Developing.

Shameless Plug
NBC is about to snap up Oxygen Media and it Oprah-founded cable channel for $920 million. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Oxygen's just-finished third quarter was the most-watched in the history of the seven-year-old network. We like to think that Tori & Dean: Inn Love had something to do with that. And we'd say Business Week agrees with us: "[Oxygen] is edgier and less earnest than, say, Lifetime. I don’t even mind that it has a pregnancy calendar on its site, too, as it’s subtle rather than a belly with an ultrasound photo that’s fighting for space with Meredith and Britney on iVillage. There’s a sense of irreverence that comes through. And you can see why shows like Tori & Dean: Inn Love are drawing in young viewers. They’re either smitten with the Hollywood romance or waiting for the train wreck to happen." We're guessing the former. See for yourself tonight when the new parents host a bunch of nudists and a brunch for a gospel group – the same weekend! Needless to say, hilarity ensues. Oxygen. 10PM. (t/y Chris)

Tori & Dean: The Learning Annex
Donna Maria Coles Johnson (wife, mother, entrepreneur, talk show host, and author) is president of Indie Business Media, LLC, a multimedia production company that helps families create businesses so they can enjoy the benefits of entrepreneurship, service, independence, flexibility, and fun. And she has a blog, Indie Business Blog. And she's learned a lot about a lot of things from Tori Spelling by watching Tori & Dean: Inn Love on Oxygen. Here's one of the things:
4. Tori doesn't beat herself up for being born into a family of wealth and privilege. After all, it wasn't her fault. She's had an interesting life so she's writing a memoir. She likes jewelry so she's starting a jewelry line. She's in love so she is married. She's fertile so she's having babies. She's playing the hand she was dealt.
What I Learned: Bloom where you are planted.
And here's the rest of them.

At Chateau la Rue, Tori Spelling's new B and B in Fallbrook, Calif. (and the subject of her recent reality show), you can get married surrounded by both hip, mod furnishings and country inn-style kitsch. In tonight's seventh installment of season two of WOW's Tori & Dean: In Love, Tori and Dean and baby Liam and nanny Patsy go to New York, where the couple visit a voodoo priestess and audition for a show of their own on XM Radio. The Fries of Tori Spelling
Steven Corfe writes:
I headed over to the Los Angeles County Fair yesterday at lunchtime for a sampling of Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott's new business venture: healthy gourmet fries served from their fry shack on wheels, called Small Fry. As I arrived, their cute little shack was surrounded by high drama – drama which we covered and you're going to have to tune in to the couple's reality show to find out what it was. So, with a protesting Tori and Dean finding themselves on the no-fry list, I headed deep into the fairgrounds, fighting my way through funnel cakes and cameltoes, to bring the cast and crew a sampling of some of the other, less healthy fried fare for sale. Watch Small Fry sizzle into business this season on Tori & Dean: Inn Love, Tuesdays at 10p/9C on Oxygen.

Tori & Dean: Onn Broadway
Tori & Dean: Inn Love stars, Tori and Dean, are thinking about possibly taking over the roles of Roxie Hart and Billy Flynn in the Broadway production of Chicago. Nanny Dearest
Tori Spelling's baby nurse, Patsy Lemmers, has become a reality TV star and she knows how to work the paparazzi, reports an ABC News story on the pitfalls and perks of being a nanny to a celebrity's kid. In a scene from Oxygen's reality show Tori & Dean: Inn Love, the story points out, Lemmers (who has her own MySpace page) is followed on an errand to buy a pregnancy test for her famous boss, who's worried she might be pregnant so soon after her son, Liam, was born. "Guys, successful mission," she says to the eager snappers upon her return, test in hand. "Here's your chocolate bar."

Here She Comes Now Sayin' Ceremony
See more at World of Wonder.
In tonight's episode of Tori & Dean: Inn Love, recently ordained minister Tori Spelling performs a same-sex marriage, bless her, at the Chateau La Rue. The festivities at the previous night's bachelor shower for bride/groom Tony included a penis piñata, of course, seen in this outtake. "You know the game Whack-a-Mole?" says Tori to the newlywed, blindfolded by a pink bandanna. "This is Whack-a-Cock. So, go ahead, swing big and wide. Go for it." Was there ever a better wish for a couple starting a life together? Episode airs tonight at 10PM/9c on Oxygen. (Click image to view)

Girls on Film
When talk with her friends turned, as it will when friends get together, to the 1989 Shelley Long movie Troop Beverly Hills, Michelle Collins at Best Week Ever forgot that Tori Spelling was in it. As a kind of penance, we assume, for forgetting that Spelling gave the "Most Underrated Child Star Performance" in "the best movie ever made," she went to Blockbuster, rented it, watched it, and made this clip reel of every scene Spelling's in. What puzzles us is how come she had to rent it?

A Star Is Newborn
Today, on Andy's Blog, Bravo's Andy Cohen posts his Summer '07 Hot List, which includes Tori & Dean: Inn Love's breakout superstar, Patsy Lemmers, Liam McDermott's nanny.
It's a Hit!
"Oxygen's season two opener of Tori & Dean: Inn Love Tuesday night (10p) was the highest rated for the series so far and it posted a 0.6 rating with W18-49 and a 0.9 rating among W18-34," reports Cynopsis today.
And Broadcasting & Cable says, "Oxygen reality series Tori & Dean: Inn Love hit the ground running as its season-two premiere pulled in the highest ratings yet for the show, with a 0.6 Nielsen Media Research household mark for the episode, Oxygen announced Thursday. The numbers brought the show's ratings 20% higher than those for its season-one premiere. An additional 0.6 rating with women 18-49 and 0.9 with women 18-34 indicated a warm welcome for the show's returning participant family, actors Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, and their new son, Liam. The show follows their back-to-basics celebrity life, running a bed and breakfast at Chateau La Rue in Fallbrook, Calif.

Chateau La Rue Awakening
Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott will be premiering the second season of their popular Oxygen reality series tonight at 10PM/9C. Tori & Dean: Inn Love, the continuing story of young newlyweds taking in lodgers to make ends meet, sounds romantic, but the truth is that there are cameras in all the rooms at Chateau La Rue. That might sound pornographic, but it's not; it's simply how reality shows op. In fact, Tori is amazed that not one guest so far at the chichi bed-and-breakfast in Fallbrook, California, has asked for the cameras to be turned off or removed or refused to sign a consent form. "If people don't want to be filmed, then we still want the business so we don't film them," she said. "But everyone wants to be on TV. We actually had our first couple [leaving] in the middle of the night because they said they weren't filmed enough, which I thought was really strange." And a little sketchy. Better check to see if the TV's still in the room. (via Contact Music)

As Similar As Night and Day
You know how talk shows seem to run together when celebs hop from one to the other when they have something to sell? Well, Tori Spelling, promoting the August 14 premiere of Tori & Dean: Inn Love's second season, visited Late Night with Conan O'Brien last night and Live with Regis and Kelly this morning and there was just a bit of sameness, so we combined the two shows into one disorienting chatfest. (Watch the clip here)

Tori Spelling's on Conan O'Brien tonight. Then, after a nap and some coffee and eyedrops, she'll chat with Regis and Kelly. Or maybe that's you who'll need the coffee and eyedrops.

A Program Note
If you're a fan of Tori Spelling – and she's touched so many of your lives – you'll want to know that she'll be all over your TV screen twice on Monday and once on Tuesday. She'll talk about the upcoming second season of her Oxygen series Tori & Dean: Inn Love on ABC's Good Morning America at the crack of Monday, then much later that day, on the verge of the next, she'll go one-on-one with Conan O'Brien on NBC. Early AM Tuesday, back at ABC, she'll chat with Regis and Kelly. You're only human, set the TiVo. By the way, in case Tori forgets to mention, the second-season startup on Oxygen is Tuesday, August 14 at 10PM.

Maliboo-boo
Nestled in the refreshing oasis of Malibu you can find seashells, collagen, celebrities, and if you're lucky... a nice refreshing dose of gay-hating. Last evening, after a lovely day at the Silver Spoon Beach House in Malibu, the producers of Tori & Dean: Inn Love sat down at Taverna Tony's with their boyfriends for some lamb k-bobs. A woman sitting nearby with her husband and children became so grossed-out at the sight of us holding hands with our boyfriends that she asked the waitress to move them to another table. Unable to re-seat the bigot and her family, the waitress tried to calm the beast down (she had ugly hair), but Mommy Intolerance was so sickened by the fact that adult homosexual men would want to hold hands in public that she boxed up her heaps of Greek food and left in a huff. Clearly, seeing gay people isn't what she expected when going to a restaurant in MALIBU (dumbass). We want to issue this apology:
Dear Lady Whom We Offended With our Gayness:
• Sorry that we sat holding hands last night at a restaurant in Malibu, the last place you'd expect to see gays.
• Sorry that we ordered martinis "straight up."
• Sorry that we ordered k-bobs; looking back, they DO look like weeners, which is not appropriate.
• Sorry that we ruined your family dinner with our non-family values.
• Sorry that you're an idiot.

David Gilmore of Pretty On The Outside just sent us this picture in honor of Reverend Tori Spelling, who wrote on her MySpace blog how she united gay couple Tony and Dex as life partners in love this weekend, at the bed and breakfast she runs with husband Dean McDermott on World of Wonder's docu-series Tori & Dean: Inn Love. The nuptials will be shown as part of the second season, premiering August 14th, and some naughtier behind-the-scenes scoop from the gay batchelor party is coming soon.

Last Chance
Just like that photo yesterday of minuscule Liam Aaron and big daddy Dean McDermott lazing by the pool in Las Vegas, this was taken with Mommy's cameraphone. Apparently, though, Tori preferred swimming in cold cash to cold water, and one can almost imagine her screeching, quite literally, "Baby needs a new pair of shoes!" in that way people do in casinos. In movies, anyway. But our point? Tonight at 10:30 is the SEASON FINALE of Tori & Dean: Inn Love on the Oxygen channel. And all we really need to tell you is that making his reality-television debut will be baby Liam. If he does well in this finale, chances are he'll be back for the second-season premiere.

Liam & Dean: In Love
Dean McDermott and tiny offspring Liam Aaron McDermott were spotted kickin' it poolside in Las Vegas. We hear this is how Dean and Tori sleep. But Dad and Junior really shouldn't be sleeping, because today's not only the one-year anniversary of Tori and Dean's wedding but also the day it was announced that Oxygen has renewed Tori & Dean: Inn Love for a second season. Oxygen's continuing support of the series is no surprise: It's been the second-highest-rated original series on Oxygen after The Bad Girls Club. Tomorrow, the first-season finale airs at 10:30 PM. Series Series
By way of reminding you to watch another delightful episode of Tori & Dean: Inn Love tonight on Oxygen at 10:30, we exhibit another in a series of delightful paintings of the lovely and talented Tori Spelling by the lovely and talented artist Cabeza de Vaca, who frankly should be paying us a commission or a percentage of his sales for our pimping as his art dealer. Ahem, anyway, this massively huge piece is called Wheel of Fortune. We think. It might be called The Ravages of Celebrity. Either way, it's really big. And it's part of art is Tori. Life After Birth
Tori Spelling was spotted, just one month after Liam Aaron McDermott was born, jogging with baby-daddy Dean in Beverly Hills. It's no wonder she looks so svelt if she jogs all the way to Beverly Hills from Temecula, where the couple runs a boutique bed & breakfast. It's a two-hour drive. Jeesh. Innkeepers Unite!
The editor of BnBFinder's Bed & Breakfast Blog says that "While it’s unfair to classify B&Bs as 'cluttered with needlepoint pillows, ceramic figurines and garden gnomes,' the opening of Chateau La Rue and Tori Spelling’s new reality show Tori & Dean: Inn Love is getting a lot of press. But will the media frenzy surrounding the show help or harm the Bed & Breakfast Industry’s image? Share your comments about the reality of the show in our bed & breakfast blog."
Most of the 30 commenters say that old, dusty, musty, and filled with antiques is not what today’s B&Bs are like, particularly in California, but one confesses to having "a doily under a TV on an antique table in one of our guest rooms." (Read more)

To the Manner Born

Tonight's the night. The first episode of WOW's docuseries Tori & Dean: Inn Love airs on Oxygen at 10:30PM. In the New York Times today, Virginia Heffernan reviews the show's premiere, which centers around that yard sale the couple had not long ago.
The crux of this first episode is a tag sale that Tori, the daughter of Aaron Spelling, the famous television producer who died in June, finds she must hold to raise money. Although she says she inherited $800,000 from her father — the figure is given frankly on the show, along with life’s other would-be private details — the money is apparently already spent. Tori, even though she has a baby on the way, cannot stop buying expensive clothes. “It’s just I — I’m famous for my clothing,” she tells Dean tragically, as if reading from a Douglas Sirk script.
And Entertainment Weekly picked it to watch tonight:
