Dial M for Madonna Marathon Sale-A-Thon
In hour 4 of the "Dial M for Madonna" marathon sale-a-thon, James hawks a $300 painting and throws in club-kid cards and Steven Corfe's used underwear, then has a Super Glue accident. Things get a little Loveline-ish when Gay Bigfoot, in a Dr Drew state of mind, talks to a female caller who describes her masturbation method using a sock, then shares his own phallic dream fantasies. Etc.

Dial M for Madonna Ring My Bell Sale-A-Thon
Before there were Crazians, before there were go-go boys, there was Madonna in the World of Wonder Storefront Gallery and when it was over James St James took to the phone to sell off the remainder at factory prices via a live Ring My Bell hookup with you, the art-buying public. This is hour 3 of that experience and you can revisit, among other moments, James getting an extremely pleasurable massage from Gay Bigfoot, talking to a cute gallery visitor about fellatio, triying to sell Steven Corfe's underwear, and making the first Madonna-art sale of the day.

Dial M for Madonna Marathon, Hour Two
James St James examines a painting of Madonna's vagina, then discusses a caller's vagina, accidentally hangs up on his sister while she's telling him about his brother's car accident, and hands the phone to Steven Corfe when an English fan calls, so that "the two Brits can talk about England," as Brits are wont to do. Nothing if not absorbing.

Two White Cats Sitting Around Talking
WOW staffer Joey Maiocco and James St James spent a lot of time schmoozing for the amusement of their adoring fans during the "Dial M for Madonna" Ring My Bell noon-till-night live sale-a-thon in the World of Wonder Storefront Gallery last week. Talk is cheap and so was the art. (Photo by Debbi Rotkowitz)
Ring My Bell: Dial M for Madonna Marathon
In the first hour of the "Dial M For Madonna" everything-must-go marathon hosted by James St. James, Michael Alig's sphincter is a recurring theme. Other topics discussed include Steven Corfe's felching fetching Madonna impersonation, a caller's sexual versatility, another caller's Gay Pride outfit, River Phoenix's and Leigh Bowery's deaths, and James' refusal to let the artworks upstage his on-camera banter.

Ring My Bell Updates 4 and 5
HAVE YOU CALLED JIMMY YET?
4. James is selling Madonna art like it's going out of style. He just sold the ninth and final Plasticgod miniature, completing the set and making him our first sell-out artist of the show. Call 323 603 6312 to speak with James and buy slash-price Madonna art. Next purchase gets a Party Monster poster signed by James. Click.
5. The fifth hour is up but sales have reached a mid-afternoon lag. There are still some key pieces left, like Tim Gaskin's Playboy Madge, pictured at right. Just like the magazine, it's a keeper. Call 323 603-6312 to enquire the prices, and watch James live at www.ringmybell.tv.
Ring My Bell Update 3
James is well into his third hour of the Ring My Bell Madonnathon over at ringmybell.tv and the talk has started to descend into sock masturbation. But let's not forget the art – it's flying off the walls with Gay Bigfoot's True Blue selling for the amazing price of $75, and Plasticgod selling another of his cute $100 miniatures.
– Steven Corfe
Ring My Bell Update 2
James has completed the second hour of the Ring My Bell Madonnathon, but getting only one caller that hour has reduced him to crying under the table. Tune in to ringmybell.tv to see more of the cut-price Madonna art. And call James so he can sell you a painting, for crying out loud. Call 323 603-6312 to talk and click here to gawk. It's live!
Ring My Bell Update 1
James just completed the first hour of the DIAL M FOR MADONNA-THON. No art work has sold yet, even with James' dangerous willy-nilly price-cutting. Highlights include the on-screen display of Trevor Chowning's Money Maker painting, to the shock and dismay of Moye Ishimoto watching in her Lifetime TV cubicle. Dial 323 603-6312 and watch at ringmybell.tv.

The Benson Initiative
Doug Benson showed up not only on the airplane on last night's Lost, but also, some time ago, in the hatchlike environment of WOW's Ring My Bell chamber, where he had to answer questions from strangers using the numbers 3236036312. Eerie.

This afternoon's guest on Ring My Bell is Christian LaPanto, a featured artist from the Warhol: Dead at 21 show who didn't get a chance to partake in the 12 hour Warhol Ring My Bell marathon last week. LaPanto will be taking calls and trying to sell his Warhol/Basquiat collage, created from an original phtoograph he took of the two artists when he lived in New York in the 80s. Call 323 603-6312 between 5PM and 6PM Pacific, and watch the live video feed by clicking on the play symbol at ringmybell.tv.
Update: due to technical difficulties, Christian will be back the same time tomorrow to answer your calls.

For Whom The Bell Rung
Yesterday's 12 hour Warhol Ring My Bell marathon was a runaway success, with almost $3000 worth of art flying off the walls to phone-in buyers from Indiana, Louisiana, North Carolina, and everywhere in between (is West Hollywood considered "in between"?). James St James did a QVC-worthy job manning the phone lines, consistently bringing the topic back to the art, despite frequent interruptions involving teenage girls outing themselves as lesbians live on air (TWO of them!), boulevard bum invasions (THREE of them!), and caller Melissa's seduction technique of pretending to have the same birthday as the guest artists (FOUR of them!). Cutie patootie Bryden Lando answered calls for an hour and sold his banana skull-and-cross-bones piece, Paul Knotter did a stint and sold two of his velvet prints, and artists Eric Swartz and Mathu Andersen were equally lucky in flogging their Campbells Soup and Candy Darling pieces to the highest bidders. Musical interludes were provided by Ring My Bell favorites Ryan Workman and Marie Catastrophe, and highlights of the full 12 hours will be posted shortly on Warhol TV. Best of all, there's still some great pieces remaining, which can be purchased at SLASH-CUT-MEGA-REDUCED PRICES!!! at the Warhol: Dead at 21 Closing Party, next Friday the 22nd, from 7PM - 11PM at the World of Wonder Storefront Gallery.

Here's another installment of Ring My Bell highlights from Lenora Claire's "Golden Gals Gone Wild" reception, part of WOW's monthlong ART IN AUGUST series in the storefront gallery. This portion is from 9 to 10 and, hosted by James St James, it's quite colorful. Did we say colorful? We meant abnormal.

A Program Note
UPDATE: Unfortunately Junior Senior have had to cancel their appearance on Ring My Bell due to their hectic press schedule. But all is not lost; instead, you can stay up late tonight and watch the Golden Gals Gone Wild Slumber Party! Curator Lenora Claire will be hosting the cheesecake-filled pajama soiree, complete with artwork viewings (the few pieces which have not already been sold), guest spots from some of the exhibition's featured artists, and a tantalizing live, on-air tale from someone who used to work for Bea Arthur. Got your interest piqued? Call 323 603-6312 between 9PM and midnight Pacific, and watch the action on the live webcam at ringmybell.tv.

See more at Ring My Bell.
As promised, highlights from Friday night's reception for Sham Ibrahim's art show at the World of Wonder storefront gallery. They're from early in the night – around 8 to 9 – so don't expect Andy Dick to come staggering in just yet (oh, wait, he never did). It's mainly our jauntily dressed host James St James taking phone calls and art oglers checking themselves in a wall mirror. Enjoy. More to come.

Public Excess
For five years, beginning in 1978, writer Glenn O'Brien hosted a public-access cable TV show in New York City called Glenn O'Brien's TV Party. Co-hosted by Blondie's Chris Stein and Debbie Harry, TV Party was a mostly black-and-white guerrilla talk show cum drinks party where anything could happen and anyone could drop by. But the anyones just so happened to be the avant-garde of the city's then-nascent, now-virtually vanished downtown music and art scene. Sadly, few people were "on the cable" back then, so not many saw the unscripted shenanigans and appearances and performances by such as the Clash, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Tuxedo Moon, Klaus Nomi, Andy Warhol, Talking Heads, etc. We mention TV Party now because that Ring My Bell 24-hour party hosted by James St James two weeks ago reminded us of how great it was. And everyone's on the internet.

The St. James Version: About Last Weekend
See more at Ring My Bell.
HELLO? WHERE AM I? IS THIS THING ON? I’m not a well woman, you know. It seems I’m sunburned. Yep. Singed to a crisp! Red like a lobster! Strange, as I haven’t been seen in direct sunlight for over a decade. But there you go. And here I am. And STILL I’m just exhausted from last weekend’s shenanigans. OMG. I’m still trying to piece it all together. I remember Friday morning, getting breakfast before the big Ring My Bell marathon began (sushi and vodka, hmmm, maybe that’s where it started). And I can tell you that right from the start the energy in the storefront was UP, the phones were ringing OFF THE HOOK, and I managed a happy-happy-peppy-perky conversation with the hundreds, NO THOUSANDS, of fabulous people who called in to show their support. There were many highlights: AND I’M TALKING TO YOU, MISTER RYAN WORKMAN! Did you see him perform? When he did his little “Ryan Unplugged” set? OMG WASN’T HE JUST THE CUTEST THING EVER? Well, I could just put him in my pocket and keep him there forever- he was THAT ADORABLE! Someone called in to say that he sounded like “the beating wings of a thousand angels”. …I thought I heard the beating SOMETHING-elses of a thousand FAGGOTS, but that’s just me. After that, the floodgates just opened up: the hot, three-month-old beer started flowing, the UKULADY showed up, as did many friends and homeless people and various immigrants and guest stars including: Dylan Vox, Lenora Claire, Mary Ann Heagerty, Andrew Schneider, and the hip new artist PLASTIC GOD. Then there was Moye! YAY MOYE! (For those of you too young to remember: Moye once worked at the WOW offices, but that was way back in the long, long ago.) And, oh, were you there when Michael Alig called, and we had that fun little chat about life in his latest prison unit? Is anybody editing any of it so we can post it? Somebody? Anybody? [Ed note: You can watch the whole first hour, which we call "Episode 1," by clicking on the image at the top of this page]

Don't Ask for Whom the Bell Rings
Cazwell was in the Ring My Bell dungeon today, where he spoke to a ton of callers (we actually weighed them) including Miss Amanda Lepore, before this pink-haired beauty crashed the set to cause some mayhem. If you're in the Los Angeles area on Saturday, stop by Hotdog to see Cazwell perform.
For Whom the Bell Rings
This morning's guest is Cazwell, the streetwise gay rapper from New York with the smutty hip-hop rhymes "All Over My Face" (video above with Amanda Lepore) and "The Sex That I Need." Call 323 603-6312 between 11AM and 12PM Pacific (2PM and 3PM Eastern) to speak with Cazwell, and watch him on the live webcam at ringmybell.tv.

This morning's guest on Ring My Bell is MK from Popbytes.com, the celebrity gossip blog with a self-proclaimed gee whiz vibe. Back for a second round of phone calls exactly one year later, Popbytes will be chatting about such suggested topics as Nicole Richie, Hairspray, David & Victoria Beckham, and Courtney Love. When a 'Ranger Calls
It seems everyone who was awake – not only in LA but everywhere – watched, called, or dropped in to WOW's makeshift storefront studio for the James St James-hosted lively Ring My Bell 24-hour marathon last weekend. One of those was Lina Lecaro, LA Weekly's "Nightranger" columnist, who not only dropped in but also manned the phone for a bit while James used the little boys' room.
Nightranger even got five minutes of fame, taking calls from kids all across the country. We chatted up a gal from Idaho who told us about her town’s Drag Queen Bingo nights (awesome!) and shared observations on the comical contrasts of the scene around us. (Tourists, bridge ’n’ tunnel clubbers and random riff-raff from the boulevard continually peeked in the storefront windows throughout the show, obviously wondering what the hell was goin’ on.) Crashed Out
Due to overwhelming popularities, the internets have gone down in the WOW building, and the James St. James RIng My Bell Extravaganza has been abruptly cut short, a mere 17 hours into the scheduled 24. James, who is zooming home as I type this, thanks all his callers, and notes that the placement of Freak Show has gone up four thousand places on the Amazon.com Sales Rank thanks to the marathon drive. And so we wish you a good night / good morning / good whatever wherever you are. Catch the highlights on WOW TV, night owls. You've got more stamina than I have.
– Steven Corfe
Two's Company
It's now 2am over at the Ring My Bell 24 Hour Live Extravagaaanza. If a blog entry is posted and no-one is around to read it, does it exist? James is all mellowed out on whiskey and Coke, and the Cocteau Twins-esque vibes of broaddaylight, who just performed the loveliest, dreamiest live set. I miss my dead Nana. Can we go home yet?
– Steven Corfe
Midnight at the WOWasis
It's midnight at the 24 hour Ring My Bell Extravaganza. The last time an entry was posted this late on The WOW Report, Stephen Saban accidentally took an ecstasy tablet instead of his NyQuil. James is trying to nap, but unfortunately the calls are too incessant. A rocking set from Marie Catastrophe kept us on our toes for the witching hour. Stay tuned.

Turban Legend
The James St. James 24 hour Ring My Bell extravaganza is now in its eleventh hour (literally, alas, and not figuratively), and James is rocking gold batwings topped with a black turban. If you weren't tuned in earlier, you missed a call from Michael Alig in jail, possibly the first live James/Michael conversation broadcast since the clubkid was imprisoned. Aided by futuristic cell-phone-held-to-phone-receiver technology, callers were able to speak directly to Michael and ask him such questions as if and when he's getting out, and what he plans to do upon such an event. You'll have to wait until we get the tape up on WOW TV to hear the answers, so keep checking in on the James St. James channel for the upcoming tape. Oh, and Michael promised to call back tomorrow morning at 10am Pacific to end the marathon show. If he's not busy.
– Steven Corfe
Ring Ring Ring goes the Telephone
We're on the seventh hour of 24, and James is still going strong. Ryan Workman, a guitarist James discovered on Hollywood Blvd, just performed a set, and Pauley Perrette from Navy NCIS on CBS just called in for a natter. Keep James' energy up! Call 323 603-6312! Watch him on the webcam at ringmybell.tv! Drunk callers welcomed as the evening progresses.
– Steven Corfe
Keep Those Bells Ringing
We're still here. When we were 40 minutes in, James had already covered Special K vs ecstasy, conservatism in Florida, and a couple of unmentionables. And that was just in the first call. It's been three hours now. Check out the streaming video at ringmybell.tv, and keep James entertained entertaining callers! Be part of WOW history and get your voice in our archives.
Dial! Dial! My Darling

Roll up, roll up, for a special bonus Ring My Bell extravaganza! Today, this very day, Friday the 6th, James St. James is performing a 24-hour live Ring My Bell marathon, with special guests, costume changes, readings, and, well, who the hell knows what else. The marathon, a selfless self-promotion by James of his new book, Freak Show, will be like the QVC channel meets the Jerry Lewis Telethon, but with more electroplated gold and fewer wheelchairs. The fun starts this morning at 10 Pacific at ringmybell.tv and continues until 10AM tomorrow, God willing. 10AM to 10AM – you do the meth. Call 323 603 6312 with your questions and hot topics. No question will go unanswered, no topic turned down. James is ready to meet your needs, but he needs your meat to succeed.
