What Ever Happened to Bambi Woods?
Chris May writes:
Plenty of legendary movies have inspired little rumors and bits of alleged trivia – some true, most not – and the original Debbie Does Dallas is no different. Since it’s release in 1978, rumors have raged on about how it’s supposed to feature real Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders (it doesn’t), how some scenes were shot on the campus of the prestigious Pratt Institute (they were), and how it’s one of the best adult movies ever made (not even close). Stories like these have kept the movie in the public eye for the past 30 years, inspiring more than 40 sequels, a stage musical, and a popular pay-cable documentary series.

Drunk's Vivid Recollection
Drunken Stepfather does Vivid's Debbie Does Dallas...Again launch party in New York. Or, rather, he has a similarly drunken friend with a Polaroid and a cell phone cover it for him. Either way, there's no more apt coverage of the event than the target audience for both the original and the remake of Debbie.

Chris May, Debbie Does Dallas... Again's supervising producer, writes:
On your everyday, average TV series, “season finale” usually means you’re in store for a clip show or, at best, a “very special” episode where one of the main characters gets busted with a joint in her school backpack and has to move away. Well, on tonight’s season finale of WOW’s sexy documentary series Debbie Does Dallas…Again, we put an appropriate twist on the hoary old “wrap-up” episode with not one but two – TWO! –gang bangs. You’re not going to get that on Laguna Beach or Two and a Half Men (although it would be nice if you did).
And if that’s not enough, one of the main characters comes to an emotional crossroad and decides to chuck everything and leave the porn industry forever. This is a Television Moment as big as when Colonel Blake left M*A*S*H or when Chrissy left Three’s Company – well, maybe not quite that big, but still pretty unexpected.
Now about those gang bangs….

With WOW’s documentary series Debbie Does Dallas…Again racing towards its season finale this Friday, there are a lot of balls up in the air – literally and figuratively. And the mainstream press is taking note. The big cliffhanger at this point centers around Vivid’s ageless star, Savanna Samson, who made a surprise appearance on the Debbie set at the end of last week’s episode. She gave director Paul “PT” Thomas a get-me-fucked-or-fuck-off ultimatum, and now Page Six is reporting that Savanna may have a Plan B that’s bigger than anything PT has to offer: a deal with producer Chuck Oliner and Koch Records, the home of hardcore rap acts like UGK and Jim Jones. And that’s on top of her well-regarded winery, which got rave reviews for its Sogno Uno vintage.
Savanna’s career was also at the center of a discussion about Debbie on today’s Howard Stern show. The King of All Media seemed to think that Savanna still has plenty of sexy scenes left in her, but sidekick Robin Quivers called up a Debbie clip where Savanna breaks into tears at the thought of working alongside all those sexy young Vivid girls.
Note to Don Imus: When you want to talk about sexual proclivity and the relative beauty of women, this is the way to do it.

Debbie Does Dallas...Again's supervising producer, Chris May, writes:
Last week on WOW’s sexy documentary series Debbie Does Dallas…Again, emerging alt porn auteur Eon McKai had some most unexpected and decidedly unwelcome visitors show up on his set – namely, the cops. And while it’s one thing to deal with jack-booted, badge-weilding, overly-moustachioed sex-party crashers on your closed porn set, it’s something else entirely to invite trouble by taking your rolling porn circus out into the open, which is what rival Debbie director Paul “PT” Thomas decides to do in this week’s episode. I happened to be along for the ride that afternoon, and here’s how it all went down….

Separate but Sequel...Party
For the last month or so, WOW’s documentary series Debbie Does Dallas…Again has been carefully detailing the behind-the-scenes drama going on over at Vivid Entertainment, where they’re readying a pair of flashy new takes on the seminal '70s porn classic Debbie Does Dallas. This Thursday, the first of those films gets its’ grand unveiling with a premiere party at Manhattan’s Club Ultra on 26th Street. And unlike those snooty Hollywood premieres where the fans are forced to stand outside on a cold sidewalk and wonder what kind of debauched bacchanalia is going on inside, this one is 100% free and open to the public – and there’s free booze for everybody! Best of all, Vivid starlet and Debbie co-star Monique Alexander will be on hand to give away copies of both the new movie and the original, and answer your burning questions about what she really thinks about losing the lead in Debbie to that bitch Stefani Morgan. The fun (and free drinks) flow from 8 to 10 pm, which should give you plenty of time to get bombed, pick up some fine new additions to your adult film collection, and then sleep it all off in time to watch the next installment of Debbie Does Dallas…Again this Friday at 11PM on Showtime. Separate but Sequel
Debbie Does Dallas...Again supervising producer Chris May writes:
When the original Debbie Does Dallas came out in 1978, the adult film industry was entirely different than it is today. For one thing, back then naked people didn’t just stream onto your computer or cell phone with the push of a button – partly because the technology wasn’t there yet, and partly because pornography was still highly illegal in most of the good ol’ U S of A. In fact, as recently as 1986 the original Debbie was considered to be obscene material, subject to seizure by the State Gestapo Police. And that wasn’t in the backwoods of Tennessee either – that was in New York.
So think about that as you settle back on your fancy sofa and flick on your 65” plasma screen to watch tonight’s episode of WOW’s seven-part documentary series Debbie Does Dallas…Again, because some of the cast are in store for an impromptu history lesson on how Things Used To Be in porn industry. In other words – police raid!

Here we have another deleted and decidedly NSFW scene from Friday night's episode 4 of Debbie Does Dallas...Again, which you can watch by clicking here (be patient). And we also have Eon McKai, the fledgling master of "alt porn," blogging about that same episode which you can begin reading here and continue after the jump.
Hello everyone,Continue
So I just saw episode 4 and would love to know what you guys thought. I had to make so many hard choices during this one. I really wanted to get the green light on my version of Debbie. I had a great script and had most of my cast together. I know that Steven has a feel for what’s going to work. He’ll know if I’m prepared because he knew PT wasn’t and I still needed a Debbie.

Debbie Does Dallas...Again supervising producer Chris May writes:

In the pantheon of great Hollywood traditions, the Career Reviving Role is right up there with the Trip to Rehab and the Disasterous Short-Term Marriage on the list of things a celebrity can do to get back in the spotlight when everyone in town has written them off. Granted, the degree of difficulty is much higher, but if you can pull it off, the payoff is fantastic. Just ask John Travolta, Frank Sinatra, or Liza Minnelli. Of course, you only get one shot, and if you screw it up, you’re stuck with bad marriages and rehab as your only options (again, just ask Liza).
And what’s true in Hollywood is also true in the adult film industry, as you’ll see in tonight’s installment of WOW’s new documentary series Debbie Does Dallas…Again, which follows the fine folks over at Vivid Entertainment as they attempt to remake the '70s cheerleader-porn classic.

Hey everyone Monique Alexander here, so its episode 3 of our reality show "Debbie Does Dallas...Again" and I don't know about you but I can't wait to see episode 4. Episode 3 was packed with drama & controversy don’t ya think? Boy, Steven was not happy when he found out that PT had not picked a Debbie a week before we were scheduled to shoot. When Steven brought us in to audition front of PT, Marci and himself you might not have been able to tell, but the tension was bad. Lacie and Cassidey were not taking the audition seriously. They should not have even bothered coming. Then there's Sunny, who I love, but won't do guys so she shouldn't have even been there and Stefani and me who both wanted it but for totally different reasons.

“[The series] is very engaging, satisfying and titillating.” – Fleshbot
"I really love the show on so many levels. It's very realistic in its depiction of the adult business but also extremely entertaining and sexy." – Paul Fishbein, publisher, AVN magazine
“So, is the show worth watching? If you're up for seeing the behind the scenes aspects of shooting porn scenes, for a compact half-hour, sure it is. In other words, of course it is.”– TV Squad

Debbie Does Dallas...Again's supervising producer Chris May writes:
Each year, some 10 million Americans fall victim to industrial accidents. Running the gamut from deadly mineshaft cave-ins to disfiguring bandsaw amputations or even simple supermarket slip-and-falls, horrific moments like these will often leave their innocent victims with permanent physical and psychological scars. While some industries are more dangerous than others, no occupation is ever truly free from the lurking threat of an on-the-job disaster. And that includes the adult film industry.
On tonight’s episode of WOW’s new documentary series Debbie Does Dallas…Again, viewers get a bracing glimpse into how an innocent porn set can be transformed from a safe-sex haven for libidinous pleasure into a dangerous, career-ending disaster-zone, where a single careless moment can unleash traumas that will haunt their victims for a lifetime.

Blogrolling in the Valley
The production manager of Debbie Does Dallas...Again isn't the only crew member with a blog – Paul "PT" Thomas, director of Debbie and self-proclaimed "great genius," has also put fingertips to keyboard to write about his experiences remaking the classic porno, documented in WOW's new series of the same name. And by all accounts, PT was not amused when his role as director was threatened by new kid on the block Eon McKai. Catch the drama Fridays at 11PM on Showtime. And get a load, so to speak, of PT's blog right now:
I don't need my own goddamned company competing with me for talent, story ideas, locations or available funds. I need all the coddling and catering to I can get to pull another rabbit out of my hat. So, the news that Mr. Eon Schmeon McKai would be vying for Debbie honors with me, and would receive equal consideration within my own company, at first pissed me off.

Debbie Does Dallas...Again's supervising producer Chris May writes:

This Friday – tomorrow – episode two of Debbie Does Dallas…Again hits the air, and this one’s hotter than an all-girl three-way with a pink strap-on (which was an integral part of episode one). For those of you who’ve been living under a rock, Debbie is World of Wonder’s new seven-part documentary series about what happens when Vivid Entertainment, the world’s finest purveyor of adult films, tries to remake the seminal 70s porn movie “Debbie Does Dallas.” Even after just one episode, there’s a lot on the line – the Vivid girls are ready to claw each others’ eyes out for a shot at the starring role, and Vivid’s ace director Paul “PT” Thomas thinks this is the perfect project to make into a musical. This week, the stakes get even higher with the introduction of a new character: Eon McKai.

Shailar Cobi is a man with a job many would envy – as production manager at the adult-entertainment company Vivid, getting to watch hot girls having sex is all in a day's work. Shailar worked on the Vivid remake Debbie Does Dallas...Again (Fridays at 11PM on Showtime), and recounts below his on-set experiences and what seeing himself on TV was like:
So I've done a lot of reality TV. Everything from Jerry Springer to Comedy Central’s Con to Porno Valley, a 12-part series on Vivid, and now a seven-part series for Showtime called Debbie Does Dallas…Again. By far this latest one was the most fun to be part of. Being followed around by a crew while trying to produce a big film with five Vivid girls in it is not the best way to make a movie...

Chris May, supervising producer of Debbie Does Dallas...Again, writes:
Looking at the neverending flood of pornography on the internets, it’s hard to believe that the average porn actress spends only one year working in the adult industry. An entire career cycle is reduced to 12 months – from hardworking young dreamer to jaded realist in less time than it takes to get a community college degree. For every Savanna Samson or Tera Patrick, there are dozens of no-name girls who gave every gang bang their all, and barely made a blip.
The odds of shooting from third bukkaki girl on the left to porn superstar are slim, but even so, there are plenty of girls willing to take a shot at grabbing the brass nipple ring. And tonight you can meet four of them on World of Wonder’s new seven-part documentary series Debbie Does Dallas…Again.

To the uninitiated, a strap-on dildo is a fairly simple device, a small step up in sophistication from a regular dildo. But did you know that strap-ons aren’t sold pre-assembled, ready to roll straight out of the box? And that one little bit of info could be the difference between unleashing a night of wild sexual discovery or a nightmare of frustration and crushed hopes, where you’re flailing around with a half-built strap-on wondering where it all went wrong.

When Vivid Entertainment, the 800-pound gorilla of porn production, announced they were re-making the seminal '70s adult film Debbie Does Dallas, we grabbed our cameras and rushed over to see how it all came together…and who came together. The end result is a seven-part documentary series called Debbie Does Dallas…Again, premiering March 9th at 11pm.
The original Debbie Does Dallas is one of the few bona fide porno mega-hits, grossing an estimated $100 million and spawning a whole cottage industry of sequels and spin-offs – everything from Debbie Does New Orleans to Debbie Does Dishes (which, as it happens, is an excellent film). So what makes this version different? For one thing it’s got five of Vivid’s hottest stars: Stefani Morgan (above), Monique Alexander, Sunny Leone, Cassidey, and the one and only Savanna Samson.
Of course, only one of them can be "Debbie," which sucks for them but is great news for fans of catty backstabbing and bitchy jealousness - topped off with a heapin' hunk of hhhhot sex, of course. But we're not allowed to tell you exactly when or where it's going to air, although show time is 11pm on Friday, March 9th. Get it?
