Mama Meester

Connie Meester, the mother of Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester, will be writing her memoir, which will include the time she and ex-husband Doug were part of a family-run drug ring importing Jamaican weed to the US. And of course she'll tell of the birth of Leighton while she was serving a year in a Fort Worth federal prison. The book was started life as a screenplay about four years ago. Loch Powell, Mrs Meester's manager, says Leighton is supportive of her mother, now a real estate agent. "Leighton and her mom are very close," he said. "Connie has had a spectacular life." (E!)
