Lenora Claire on Gidget Gein

Hi, Stephen. Gidget was a really good friend so I thought you might appreciate some of these details. While he was perhaps best known for being a founding member of Marilyn Manson (hence his gory yet glam moniker), over the last few years Gidget had really made a name for himself with his art. His pop art inspired watercolor pieces even appeared in the "Golden Gals Gone Wild" and Warhol shows at the World of Wonder Storefront Gallery. Gidget was also making music again, having played at the House of Blues last week with the band People and was working on a new album with the producer from the first Jane's Addiction record. When I spoke to him just a few days ago he sounded better than he had in years. He was absolutely thrilled for his upcoming solo show at La Luz De Jesus – something he had wanted for years. I spoke with La Luz this morning and it sounds like the show will go on. I produced his first show in LA and I'm going to help with this last one. I'm sure that with all of his friends and loved ones contributing it will be epic.
