How They Met With Mother

Now that Spears has been confirmed to play a receptionist at the office of Ted's dermatologist slash lover on How I Met Your Mother, Alicia Silverstone has dropped out as the dermo, her reps fearing Spears would steal the spotlight from her (damn straight!). But glory be! the role has been given to Scrubs' heavenly Sarah Chalke (whom this editor would run away with tomorrow in the unlikelihood such an opportunity arose). Sadly, the role was meant to be part of an arc, but due to Chalke's schedule (still shooting Scrubs?), she'll appear in only one ep, like Brit. Meanwhile, Mother's producers, who have a crush on Silverstone (and would probably run away with her), are creating a different, non-Spears-adjacent part for her.
