Airborne: Grounded

in Product

AirborneboxAirborne, the herbal supplement invented by a second-grade teacher and touted to dispel the onset of colds and flu, has been deemed virtually worthless. "There's no credible evidence that what's in Airborne can prevent colds or protect you from a germy environment," said Center for Science in the Public Interest senior nutritionist David Schardt. "Airborne is basically an overpriced, run-of-the-mill vitamin pill that's been cleverly, but deceptively, marketed." The only thing airborne about Airborne now is the envelope you'll receive in the mail containing your refund. The company has agreed to pay $23.3 million to settle a class-action lawsuit brought against it for false advertising. (Yahoo)
