That's Cold
New York band Creaky Boards is claiming that Coldplay's "Viva la Vida" was plagiarized from their now-ironically titled song, "The Songs I Didn't Write," after Chris Martin saw the Boards perform it at the CMJ festival in New York last year. And they've made this bitter comparative video to prove it. A Coldplay spokesman says, "'Viva La Vida' was written and demoed in March 2007, which is more than six months before this band claim Chris went to see them. We totally refute their claims." And now Creaky Boards are on the map. Developing. (rediffnews)
