Homo-A-Go-Go: A Pubic Display of Affection

Opening Friday, June 27, with a gala reception from 8PM to midnight, the World of Wonder Storefront Gallery will be featuring the photographs of WOW producer Thairin Smothers in a mini show focused on one aspect of the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles gay nightlife: the go-go boy. Sounds fun, doesn't it? "We have long followed Thairin around on his nightly forays into the darkest and most lurid nightspots in the city," says co-curator (with Steven Corfe) James St James. "We witnessed the evolution of his art and watched with interest his growing fascination with this underground community. And now, where he once put his hands, he probes with his lens."
