Kenneth Anger Is Angry
Avant-garde filmmaker Kenneth Anger (above) wrote the now-classic 1959 book, Hollywood Babylon and its later sequel, but has no connection to the just-published, can't-put-down book of celebrity filth and scandal, Hollywood Babylon: It's Back! Anger says it's not back and he's mad as hell – literally – with the title swipe and has put Satanic death curses on the book's authors, Darwin Porter and Danforth Prince. "It's very bizarre, but a close friend of Kenneth told me he's come out with Satanic incantations against me," Porter said at his book's launch party at New York's Museum of Sex."I have to protect myself. He was a friend of Aleister Crowley, the Satan worshipper who drank the blood of virgins." And it's just that sort of anecdotally lurid accusation that the new book is bursting with. Page Six points out that Anger, 81, was also a lifelong friend of Anton Szandor LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan. Developing.
