It's really puzzling to us that although we don't own any albums by Hole or the Smashing Pumpkins, there hasn't been a single day in at least seven years that we haven't said the name of bass player Melissa Van der Maur out loud, somewhat dramatically, often more than once, and usually while putting on our socks.
