In the Name of the Fergie
Fergie doesn't want to be known by or called Fergalicious anymore. "It's kind of old now," she said without irony, apparently not realizing that adding "alicious" to words was already ancient when she appended it to her name. "People have said it; they've gone into Burgerlicious, and all these things. It's so over, so last year. New year, new word. I've got to figure the new word out. But it will come, it will come." Of course, Stacy Ann Ferguson's professional name of "Fergie" itself was tired right from the get-go, having been the nickname of Prince Andrew's wife, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of Kent, years earlier. We suggest the singer, newly engaged to former All My Children star Josh Duhamel, let someone else this time come up with her next "new word." (Starpulse)
