Owl In The Family

World of Wonder's Randy Barbato not only co-heads a multi-national production company, but also finds time to lend his expertise on all things owl-related to the Los Angeles Times Home & Garden section, no less (read the full article here). It's owl in a day's work for him, and he comes up with some hoot-worthy quotes:

"There is good owl art and bad owl art," he says. "In good owl art, the eyes follow you around the room."

That would make Clancy Cavnar's painting above that Randy talks about in the article "good owl art", then, (trust us - we walked in front of our monitor a few times to test the theory). But the nocturnal birds also have a deeper significance for Randy, as he goes on to explain:

"Spirituality does play a role in my home design," he says. "I like objects that connote an idea of searching for wisdom and self-knowledge. Owls demonstrate a balance; they are both knowing and ironic, and jolly and playful -- and at the same time potentially dangerous."
