Parton and Perez
Like my old, Russian-Jewish grandmother used to say to me, “You don’t get to meet Dolly Parton everyday.” Actually, she said, “Feh! I want you should wash your mouth out with zis cleansing bar you meshuganah animal, you.” But that’s beside the point. The point is…I met Dolly Parton!!! And she was everything you could imagine, and less. You see, she’s smaller than expected. The camera always adds 10 pounds to anyone’s boobs. But she was all “Hey y’all! How y’all doing?” in all the ways you would want her to be. She showed up on time, had an entourage of maybe two people who were next to invisible, and she posed for as many pictures as a roomful of salivating queens could demand. Perez got all duded up for her and the oddest duo since that Tammy Faye Baker/Jim J Bullock talk show was born. Watch it all derail on What Perez Sez...About Divas, premiering Tuesday, February 19 at 10PM – exclusively on Vh1.
