Oliver Stone plans to add George W Bush to his oeuvre of fanciful presidential movies, following in the wake of JFK and Nixon, and he's got his sights set on recently hot again Josh Brolin for the lead. Yeah, he knows Brolin is way better looking than Dubya, but feels he has "the same drive and charisma that Americans identify with Bush, who has some of that old-time moviestar swagger." Which is not to say Stone likes Bush; previously, Stone has described the president variously as a synthetic person, a C-student at Yale, an ex-alcoholic who believes in Jesus, a man worse than Nixon in his vulgarity, who looks like he shops at Wal-Mart, and is proud to have no intellectual curiosity. Still, Stone insists the movie will not be hatchet job. Ba-dum-bum. (Telegraph)
