Love Stinks

Try as she and her minions may, Courtney Love can't get a room at the very nice Claridge's in London's Mayfair. Something about that fire she started in her suite last time she stayed there. Love had been smoking a cigarette in the $3,100-a-night suite when a fire broke out, and management had to redecorate the rooms and station a fire marshall outside her suite for the remainder of her stay. So when she contacted the hotel recently to book a suite again, they naturally told her the hotel was fully booked. Later, when her people rang up asking for a reservation under a different name, there were a number of suites available. At a Covent Garden hotel in July, where Love stayed for her 43rd birthday, a source said her room looked "like a wild animal had been let loose in there. She had used the place as an ashtray with butts strewn about and burn marks all over the bed, carpet, and upholstery. I feel sorry for whoever had to clear it up." (Source)
