Many Rivers to Cross

International reggae star Lucky Dube, who recorded 20 albums in as many years, was shot to death today in an apparent carjacking attempt in a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. Dube had just dropped off his son, 16, and daughter, 15, at his brother's house and was driving away when two men ran up to the Chrysler sedan, opened the door, and shot the 43-year-old singer twice at close range in front of his children. Dube tried to conntinue driving, but hit another car, lost control of the vehicle, and hit into a tree. He was dead when bystanders reached him. (Source; source)
