Shameless Plug
NBC is about to snap up Oxygen Media and it Oprah-founded cable channel for $920 million. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Oxygen's just-finished third quarter was the most-watched in the history of the seven-year-old network. We like to think that Tori & Dean: Inn Love had something to do with that. And we'd say Business Week agrees with us: "[Oxygen] is edgier and less earnest than, say, Lifetime. I don’t even mind that it has a pregnancy calendar on its site, too, as it’s subtle rather than a belly with an ultrasound photo that’s fighting for space with Meredith and Britney on iVillage. There’s a sense of irreverence that comes through. And you can see why shows like Tori & Dean: Inn Love are drawing in young viewers. They’re either smitten with the Hollywood romance or waiting for the train wreck to happen." We're guessing the former. See for yourself tonight when the new parents host a bunch of nudists and a brunch for a gospel group – the same weekend! Needless to say, hilarity ensues. Oxygen. 10PM. (t/y Chris)
