Operator, I'd like to make a close call. Last night, with the kids asleep in the back seat and the court-appointed monitor crouched down in the front, Britney Spears stepped on the gas in her new Mercedes convertible and shot through a red light while using her cellphone, narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic as she made a turn. The judge in the Spears vs Federline's custody case is mulling over K-Fed's lawyer's request to forbid Spears from driving when the boys are in the car. This incident could help make up his mind.
