Behind the Red Door

Police yesterday forced open the red front door of the London house that Amy Winehouse shares with her husband Blake Fielder-Civil. Their intent was to search the rooms – for what is still a mystery; the three armed cops and 10 plainclothes officers, who used a crowbar and a battering ram to gain entry at around 5PM, would say only that it was part of "an ongoing operation." Winehouse and Fielder-Civil were not inside; she'd left earlier for her father's home in Kent, and he took off an hour before the police arrived. The officers were seen leaving the house three hours later carrying several boxes. Adding to the mystery: Two 25-year-olds, a 22-year-old, and a 19-year-old were later arrested in east London in connection with the search-and-siezure. (Daily Mail; photo: Barcroft Media)
