Pants on Fire

In Michael Musto's Village Voice column La Dolce Musto this week, he has rumored news of Michael Alig's future – according to Alig himself. Says Musto:
Another clubbie turned assailant, killer diller MICHAEL ALIG, is gloating to people that when he gets out of the clink, he'll be bigger than Naomi, Paris, and Flotilla combined. Alig swears he'll have a photo book of his artwork that will coincide with a Chelsea gallery show; a remake of Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? starring him and JAMES ST. JAMES; a Disco 2000 makeup line; a World of Wonder-produced reality show about his efforts to create a new scene; a movie about club life; and a day job as an assistant editor at Jane magazine. Then again, take it with a grain of . . . everything.
We don't know about the photo book, the gallery show, the makeup line, or the Jane job, but we do know that, according to Fenton Bailey, there's never been any discussion of a reality show with Alig, and James St. James says this is the first he's heard about the Baby Jane remake. So we can only assume the rest is wishful thinking too. Although his fantasy about the future pales next to Dina Lohan's fantasy about her past.

Fenton and Randy showed the artwork Michael was talking about during the podcast in which he called in from jail. In the same podcast he mentioned that a friend's mother, an art curator, thought they were good and had offered to put together a show (he never implied anything definite, though).
A movie producer did visit him in prison to talk about a movie from his POV, and did want to tie in a "Disco 2000" themed make-up line from Hard Candy.
The person editing his book is the Deputy Editor of Jane magazine and did offer him a job at Jane if he was paroled. As for the Baby Jane thing and the reality show, I have no idea.

Michael's artwork is complete shit - let's set the record staright on that one right away. Without the back story, it would be little more than extra toilet paper on jailhouse enchillada night.
Mr. Alig is a sociopath - all of these projects exist because he killed someone. He's faning the flames of a horrendous murder for profit and gain. What more does anyone need to know about this guy? Also, you have to ask yourself...where's Freeze? Why isn't he getting his social calendar together for his release? Because he has a soul, that's why.
Take-home message: Alig is a sociopath - but don't take my word for it...grab a copy of the DSM-IVtr and connect the dots yourself.
BTW - isn't funny how all of Alig's "life threatening" medical issues just seemed to go away all of a sudden?
