Gay Prison Sex

One of only six states that allow overnight family visits, California is going the other five one better by arranging overnight visits for partners of gay and lesbian prisoners. Since the 1970s, immediate family members (we're assuming spouses, not siblings, cousins, or children) have been able to visit inmates for up to three days at a time in trailers or other types of housing on prison grounds, but this is the first time a state has permitted conjugal visits by same-sex partners. The privilege is being expanded to registered domestic partners under a law signed by former Governor Gray Davis that went into effect in 2005.
