Greeks Will Not Be Bearing Wedding Gifts for Paris
The wealthiest Greeks are in cahoots to keep their boys away from Paris Hilton, who's never met a son of a Greek shipping family she didn't like. She's had a long romance with Stavros Niarchos, was briefly engaged to Paris Latsis, and dated Chris Contogouris. That's OK with the families, who don't mind their sons getting the milk for free, but they don't want them to marry the cow. They shudder to think the hotel heiress might become a member of the family, despite the fact that Hilton has her own millions and looks to inherit millions more now that her grandfather just sold the Hilton chain to the Blackstone Group for $20 billion. It's not about the money, it's about class, dear. A vacuous, self-absorbed bimbo who put out a sex tape and spent time in jail is the last person they want as a daughter-in-law. Mariana Latsis, the mother of Paris Latsis, to whom Hilton was engaged for five months, refused to even meet the party girl. But a friend of the Niarchos family, whose son seems the most in danger, says, "Yes, everybody knows she's trouble. But [Stavros] doesn't need his family to tell him who to date."
