Recently Dead
Brent Liles, former bassist for the '80s band Social Distortion was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer while riding his bicycle last week in Placentia, California. He was 43. Liles, who played with the punk band from 1981 to 1983, was cycling along Orangethorpe Avenue when the truck hit him as it entered the 57 freeway. No charges have been brought against the driver.

I'm sorry, but why would you call Social Distortion an 80's band"? They were around then but are nowhere near the sounds that people associate with the moniker. Plus, commercially, they're biggest success was The white heat... Album which came out in the mid 90's. And they're STILL around and arguably one of the most succesful classic american punk bands. I love the WOW report..but respect where respect is due. Rest in peace, Brent.
