Testing Your Gag Reflex
Wanna see something gross? Well, first off, let me apologize for being so sporadic over the past few weeks. I just finished a very successful run of a great show called City Kid the Musical. Grammy award-winning writers, amazing directors, a brilliant band, sold-out audiences, and one of the best casts I’ve ever seen made for a fantastic show which hopefully will kick back up in the new year. And now for the gross. There is a video phenomenon which if you haven’t seen yet, count yourself lucky. The disgusting "2 girls 1 cup" has been circulating through cyberspace and grossing out watchers all over the world. While the video itself is disturbing, there's no shortage of laughs to be found on YouTube of people who have filmed their reactions to it.
The other night my crazy next-door neighbor, whom I affectionately call Kramer because he barges in without knocking with his lunatic cat, told me there was something online that I had to see. Now, while I’m a huge fan of reality TV, I’ve never been really up for watching people’s online videos because they're usually not as funny as people make them out to be. And while Chris Crocker’s rant about Britney Spears was amusing, it was a little contrived and, therefore, not really that impressive. My neighbor, however, assured me that this was one to watch. He directed me to YouTube and a video of two guys, Kevin and Roland, who had filmed themselves watching "2 girls 1 cup." The screaming and gagging was hysterical and instantly I was intrigued to see more. There are hundreds of self-made videos of people who film their genuine reactions to the disturbing fetish porn for the first time, and after a few dozen views, I felt I had to see for myself.
After looking for the hard-to-find original, my neighbor grabbed his video camera to record my reaction, which I can assure you will never be seen. I was told the whole video was about two minutes long, but I only caught the first few seconds before my gag reflexes got the best of me. It’s foul, and I don’t mean just a little bit. In two seconds I saw all I could handle and left the room heaving and laughing all at the same time.
The fetish porn video developed by Brazilian native Marco Fiorito depicts two women in an extremely disturbing sexual fantasy sequence that is sure to make even those with the strongest constitutions feel as though they could lose their lunch. If you really want to see it, you will have to find it yourself because I would never want to be responsible for a barfing epidemic. I would never watch it again or purposely make someone else watch it, but I did appreciate all of the video reactions that others had shared.
Gay, straight, old, young, black, and white – people from all around the world were laughing at something so sick, and that was the biggest revelation for me. While we all may be from different backgrounds and have different viewpoints, there are still things that we all have in common. We can all smile and laugh and enjoy life even if only for a brief second. Yeah, maybe it is a little sick and twisted of me to see hope that someday everyone will all get along based on videos of people watching a disgusting fetish film, but that’s just the way I view the world, with hope. BLOG HARD!
