"This is not a mocking of the church. It is no different than a person wearing a cross or 'taking up the cross' as it says in the Bible. My performance is neither anti-Christian, sacrilegious or blasphemous. Rather, it is my plea to the audience to encourage mankind to help one another and to see the world as a unified whole. I believe in my heart that if Jesus were alive today he would be doing the same thing." – Madonna, responding to controversy surrounding her performing "Live to Tell" from a mirrored cross on her Confessions tour.

true dat Shea.
The REALLY sad part is that you just KNOW there were dumb queens in the audience that found her act to be "edgy" and "thought-provoking."
"OMG girl, she's like, SOOO wise...and those shoes are too fierce."

C'mon gang,- YOU KNOW THE WORDS!!- Sing along, Just JUMP RIGHT IN!!
OK, maybe not.
madge-madge-madge. (Not even worth the 'capitalization;)
Rehashing old publicity 'Bits, you did 20 years ago, well, she'd have been better off "in a one-piece bathing suit, baggy white T-shirt, red nail polish, wearing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, swimming with (or nearby) sharks in the Pacific Ocean off Hawaii."
PROBABLY.... (Eh-hem)
OR, I hear that having `Sleepovers- with underage kids does wonders for ones failing and fading iconic persona.
