The Podcast of Destiny

Randy is on assignment in another city, so the Pod Squad looks somewhat skimpy if not actually threadbare. Fenton raises the issue of James's "Borat-like" NASCAR spot on ANTM and says James should do more "insane, makes-no-sense stuff." James explains his side of the experience. Life lesson: Don't wear black in the Mojave Desert. Lost. OJ Simpson: Murder, He Wrote. Judith Regan is... a genius? Rudy Giuliani running for president? His reign of terror in New York is the reason James fled to LA. Jesus Camp. Borat. "Repetition is underrated," says Fenton. "Why should everything be new all the time?" For example, on Teletubbies they show a film and immediately show it again. ("Again! Again!") Dancing with the Stars. Mario "Dimples" Lopez. American Idol Rewind. Leona Lewis on YouTube. Fergie. Fenton says that being a crystal-meth whore is "good training." The song "London Bridge" is unsuccessfully deconstructed. Naffness is cool, it's agreed, in the cases of Gwen Stefani's musical selections and Hollywood Recency interiors, but not Tenacious D. Plus-ones: Gayle, Hayley, Kevin, and all of Dr Phil's family. Brothers and Sisters. My Chemical Romance video. Does James stand up the Pet Shop Boys everytime they land in LA? Is Justin Timberlake too old to pretend he's black? Suddenly, a bit of poltergeist activity on the conference table brings the podcast to a halt.

Lovely as always. But y'know, your left and right audio channels are reversed. It's kind of freaking me out to hear Fenton's voice coming out of James' side of the screen.

I'm just asking... are you guys really still into doing the podcast? I don't know. It just seems like a lot of checking your notes and sighing. The plus one stuff was an excellent point. Dr. Phil is the most blatantly obvious with that stuff and it comes off as sheer greed.
