A Standup Guy

Meet the new Pete. Same as the old Pete? Kate Moss may have a new boyfriend, British comic Russell Brand, an MTV veejay, a host on the UK's Big Brother, and a recovering heroin, crack, and sex addict. Moss and her pal Sadie Frost went to see Brand do standup at a London pub on Tuesday and we see here that he's worked his crack problem into the act. A friend says, "Kate finds Russell hilarious and he has the sort of rock star looks she's attracted to" and they have a lot in common. Like Brand happens to be buddies with Carl Barat from Doherty's old band, the Libertines. So good luck with that. Says The Sun:

The Essex comic landed a job on MTV in 2001. But his drug-addled antics led to him being fired months later. The final straw came when he introduced Kylie Minogue to his dealer then, shortly after 9/11, turned up to the office dressed as Osama Bin Laden. But earlier this year he made a triumphant return to MTV after completing a spell in rehab.
