Don't Fuck With Me, Fellas

Fayeasjoan
“It seems Faye Dunaway has a very different view of her career than most of us," says Frank Rehwaldt at the London office, sending us this tidbit from WOW's UK-only This Is a Knife. "Listen to her spew venom about an upcoming press appearance where she begrudgingly agrees to allow one mention of Mommie Dearest. She then rages that her work with Johnny Depp and Marlon Brando is really what should be discussed. And that Lloyd Weber thing? Off limits! No wire hangers and no Lloyd Weber!!!” (Listen)

How FUNNY !

You know, I really have to agree with Miss Dunaway. Interviewers and the media always want "sensation" and "garbage tidbits" about the low-points and BOMB MOVIES that some actresses did. Faye is no different.

And I don't blame her for NOT WANTING TO TALK ABOUT "Mommie Dearest" -- she's said several times before that "Mommie Dearest" nearly DESTROYED HER CAREER IN FILMS ! The studio, as you may recall, made the whole fiasco into a CAMP FEST, even passing out wire hangers at some NYC theatres to capitalize on what they were afraid was a BOMB OF A MOVIE (at the time).

Faye knows all the "jokes" made about her, and I don't really blame her. It's a thorn in her side. for sure.

Holy Shit! When this lady get's mad, she gets BULLSHIT!

When Dunaway and O'Neill were married, he always looked like a money grubbing little [he's well over 4 ft. tall!] little weasle.

And what's with Faye's "putting our child in danger" statement? Hmmmm......

As for "Mommie Dearest", I have to say that it was a campy book to begin with. You can't tell me that Miss Faye didn't see that trainwreck coming? She can't put all the blame on O'Neill for that one!

Faye Dunaway insists that "Mommie Dearest" hurt her career, but that is not accurate. The film is actually one her finest performances. She channels Joan Crawford with an intensity that makes the movie a classic similar to "Sunset Boulevard," which also portrays the raging desperation behind Hollywood illusion.

What ruined Dunaway's career was the dreadful plastic surgery she underwent soon after filming. In fact, "Mommie Dearest" captures her exceptional looks before they were carved into caricature. But that would be more painful to admit, so "Mommie Dearest" gets the blame.

Talk about raging desperation.
