A Program Note
Good morning. Or hello if you're reading this in a different time zone (and we hope you are). We're not really here today, our beneficent bosses having given us the day off, making it a glorious four-day weekend. We're at home now, and we get to visit other blogs luxuriously, savoring them instead of merely flying over and swooping down like buzzards to carrion, picking scraps (in our case, we like to think selectively) to put on the WOW Report's dinner table. And it appears to be an upsetting day for some of the better blogs. The ongoing diaspora at Nick Denton's Gawker Media is a chilling reminder of how lucky we are here at the WOW organization. (Catch up at Jossip and Gawker.) Meanwhile, we may be posting more stuff today. But you never know. It's worth stopping back to find out. Nevertheless, have a happy Fourth. And rent Bottle Rocket.
