The Ghoul Can't Help It

I stopped by Elvira's yard sale on my way to work this morning, having read about it on Defamer. I wasn't exactly expecting bats dangling from the ceiling, but upon entering the Mistress of the Dark's abode, it struck me that her taste is disappointingly more shabby chic than vampire freak. It seemed as though nothing had escaped the ruthless estate-sale helpers' label gun – EVERYTHING had a price. Among the clutter I spotted half a can of Volumax hairspray (Super Salon Size, natch), some cutesie porcelain figurines, and a Rob Zombie CD (burned copy). I picked up a nifty '80s Elvira T-shirt ($3) and, um, a strapless bra ($1). It now adorns my computer, where I tippy-tap away in the hope that the garment that once supported such a legendary rack will similarly cradle and nurture my daily workaday routine.

POSTSCRIPT: Was saddened to learn that the moving sale was brought on by Elvira's messy divorce proceedings and subsequent downsizing.
