No Mona Lisa
The annual Brit Awards nominations were announced today and excellent to see that after a 12-year break, the delightful and eccentric Kate Bush returns to the spotlight with two nominations, including best British Female Solo Artist. And after a chart-topping year, Kaiser Chiefs and poshboy James Blunt steal the most nominations with five apiece. Other interesting nominees include the ever-so-dandy Mercury award-winning Antony and the Johnsons (pictured above), along with East London's Grime superstar Kano in British Urban and The Magic Numbers in Breakthrough Act. While the Gallagher brothers of Oasis have threatened to snub this year's event after receiving only two nominations. But of course that should change once the boys remember that the booze are free.
