Stop Stopped
There was a time when terror gripped a household if a Western Union guy showed up at the door with a telegram. Stop. His knock and the yellow envelope meant either someone had died or someone was congratulating you. Stop. Or someone was congratulating you that someone had died. Stop. It was a heady mix of emotions. Stop. All that is over. Stop. After 145 years of frightening people Western Union has stopped its telegram service. Stop. Blame cheap long-distance phone service faxes and email. Does anyone even remember telegrams. Stop. If this post were a telegram it would be costing a fortune. Stop.
