One Punk, Under Deluge
All these One Punk, Under God reviews are getting to be kind of hilarious, because you WOW Report readers keep sending them to us, which we like, and we feel we should share them with the others. An old friend of the Report, Quartknee from SF, whom we haven't heard from for ages, sent us an interesting One Punk read from Slate just now. We met Jay Bakker when he was hanging at the office a while back and he gives good vibe, and God knows we love the Tammy, so we're pretty psyched to see the show tonight too. Oh, and before you fire up your email mechanism, here's pretty much everything there is.

Fark.com linked to a cnn article about it, giving it over 15,000 page views. Then discussed it here:

Just watched the first episode of "One Punk" on iTunes this afternoon, and I really dug it. Jay's unique and modern beliefs of what religion should and should not include are thoughtfully laid out in the pilot of this six part mini series. He also talks about mending wounds between him and his father Jim as well as taking care of his ill mother,
religious icon Tammy faye who's dying of cancer. I'm really looking forward to future episodes showing Jay interacting with his parents and confronting his father. You can watch a promo for One Punk Under God here:

The first episode airs tonight at 9 on the Sundance Channel.
