In Defense of Nicole

Poor Nicole Richie. I hope this whole driving-the-wrong-way-on-a-freeway incident doesn't get blown out of proportion. I understand what happened. I sympathize. I'm English, so I can never remember what side of the road I'm supposed to be on. Nicole's a Bel Air baby. She'd probably never been east of Doheny before. And who doesn't need to get hopped up on Vicodin to numb the pain of a trip to THE VALLEY? That in itself is enough to make a girl do a U-turn on a freeway, to get the hell back out again.
