Crackedhead
Forty-eight years ago, Cracked magazine started up as an alternative publication to Mad, which at the time was an alternative to all that was sane. Two years ago, Cracked took a break to get its shit together, gather its wits about it, and rethink its humor for a demographic older than 12. Now it's freshly relaunched, pimped out with a whole new set of wits, including writers from The Daily Show, SNL, and Chappelle's Show, and featuring actor-comic Michael Ian Black as its editor-at-large. Humpty Dumpty would be envious. (fishbowlNY via Media Bistro)

Agreed, Michael Ian Black has been going downhill since his "Johnny Bluejeans" character on the short-lived "Viva Variety..."
CRACKED holds some fond memories for this starchild of the 70's, but I'm really starting to gag on nostalgia. The smartass commentary of the "I Love the 19xx's" genre -- the canned irony made popular by the likes of Mr. Bluejeans himself -- is very tired. And so am I.

Cracked was the best shit EVA'. Sylvester the janitor would have whooped Alfred E's ass with the quickness. The "Shut-ups" and "fold-ins" rocked all ass to the floor.

How does DIB still get work? His commentary on VH1 is never even close to being funny and he just looks so greasy all the time. Obviously his talents lie on the casting couch because I've never seen them on screen.
I like the general concept of the magazine re-launch but with him involved I'm wary...
